Unless you have been living on another planet chances are you have heard the term Web 2.0 Sites. I am also willing to bet that you have heard all the stories about those individuals that have struck it rich by using them. Underneath the hype and the b.s. there are literarily thousands and thousands of web 2.0 sites that are popping up every day. What this means is that the social network game has become a little confusing to say the least.
What do you do? How do you filter threw the clutter? Most Internet Marketers know that social networks is the way to go and they simply jump on the bandwagon out of fear of missing out or being left behind. This approach is what I call throwing darts in the dark. Some get lucking and hit a bulls-eye some miss the point all together.
I think it’s fair to say that since you are reading this article it is safe to say that you are sick and tired of being left in the dust and ready to cut out the bull crap. Continue reading and watch closely as I pull back the curtains on the Web 2.0 Sites mystery. I will literally hand over a few tips on how you can easily narrow down your options. I will also show you a video that will reveal seven social web 2.0 sites that will send traffic to any website today.
Before I give you the link to the video let me first arm you with a few tools. These tools will allow you to instantly be able to distinguish between the social networks that are useful and the ones that are nothing but a waste of time. Despite what some experts preach not all social networks are created equal. A great example of this is the web 2.0 site Twitter. At the time I was writing this article Twitter was leading the industry with no signs of following off anytime soon.
Once the Twitter buzz hit the media it was all she wrote. All the, “I Got Rich Overnight” stories lead to a feeding frenzy. For obvious reasons Twitter benefited from this epidemic. From the consumers point of view we were just being showed a huge growth and a bunch of numbers. Now look at it from a business point of view again… Once the word was out that people were hitting pay dirt on Twitter the company began to attract more media, thus leading to more financiers. All the buzz made Twitter a online legend. Since all the hype even Google has changed there algorithms to include tweets in there listings. This is good for you because it will lead to generating more traffic to your website or blog, thus proving the fact that all social networks are not created equal.
Wise people from the past have always said that history has a way of repeating itself. That is true, my friend. Do you remember a few years ago when MySpace was getting the same buzz? What about FaceBook? Let me take you way back to a site that was truly legendary for independent artist called MP3 dot com. Now let me give you an uppercut right on the chin with some hardcore truth. No one has ever gotten rich by solely using any of those sites. All social networks from a business perspective are mere tools which can be used to generate leads etc..
Standing in the mist of all the hype where do you get started? The answer is simple… You start by defining your needs. You need to ask yourself what is your primary goal. For the sake of this article we are going to say that you only care about driving traffic to your website. Since that is the case were not going to be concerned with rather the social network gives do follow links or no follow links. Either will still send traffic to your website.
The reason being is that you simply want the traffic that the site will generate. You don’t care about the other benefits of social networks. Now on the other hand if you are looking to build high quality backlinks you should be more concerned with focusing on those social networks that have do follow links. In a nutshell this means that when the search engine spiders visits that particular social network they will follow your link and give you credit or points depending on your anchor text as well as index your website or blog. I hope that you have found this article to be useful.
As promised here’s the link to the video on the top 7 web 2.0 sites that I use on a daily basis to drive traffic to my sites.
