Online especially in the beginning I advise people to keep costs as low as possible! What’s great about traffic generation is you can do a lot of it for free. I’m going to show you an excellent way of getting the most out of your content and driving free website traffic.
In another article I’ve shown you how to do keyword research using Google Adwords Keyword Tool; find the best keywords to use and feature content with around these keywords.
Once you’ve content for example in the form of a video or an article; you submit it to the major sites for that media type, with a link back to your opt in page. For example if you create a video put it on YouTube, Metacafe etc.. When you post to these sites put it across your social networks like Facebook and Twitter. The next day post it on your blog. Again put this post across your social networks. This can be done by RSS feeds, like Twitterfeed.
Right after posting on your blog submit it to some social bookmarking sites. You can do all this very easily yourself by adding installing a social bookmark plugin like Bookmark This to your blog and then submitting your post by clicking on the different bookmark buttons. This helps to give you free website traffic in two ways, one is by people directly following the link back to your article, the second is by increasing search rank due to the high quality links you now have back to your site.
What you’re essentially doing is creating a bit of a buzz on the internet about your new content, Google search bots will pick up on this “buzz” and think if the content has had this much activity in such a short period of time it must be good. Thus a search for the keyword you’ve used has a high chance of ranking highly on search engines. You can see the results you are getting by using a free website traffic counter or monitor like Google Analytics.
